How to run a speed test to test your network speed

Table of Contents

1. Navigate to Speed Test website

First, in order to begin your speed test, you will want to open up any web browser (ie: Google Chrome, Internet Explorer), and type in http://speedtest.net . This will take you to the page where you can run your test.

2. Click "GO!"

Once the page has finished loading, you will want to click the "GO!" button directly in the middle of the screen. This will begin the test

3. Take Down the Speeds

Once the test has finished running, you will notice that the speedometer drops away and the "Again" button appears in the middle of the screen. At this point, you will want to take down each of the numbers just below the "Again" button. Those will be: Ping, Download, and Upload.

4. Send the Results over to CallPotential Support

After you have gathered the results of your speed test, you will want to send over said results to us at CallPotential support. The best way to do this is to send them via email to support@callpotential.com . You can either send them by typing them directly in the email, OR you can right-click the chain link and select "copy link". The link will now be copied to your clipboard. You may now paste the link in an email and we'll be able to review your results.

Note: You may also copy the link to your results from your browser's address bar.
