Configuring Agent SIP Connections

This page explains how to view existing Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) connections, and also how to add and delete a SIP connection. SIP connections are required for Contact Center Agents with SIP phone devices to connect their contact center and perform voice calls.

Italicized terms represent clickable icons on the specific screen being discussed.

Terms in blue are links to additional information about the described functionality. 

You must be signed into the Web Client as an Administrator to access the Settings icon and set up SIP connections.

View Existing SIP Connections and Add New SIP Connection

  1. Settings icon - Click to access all available administrative settings, including Agent SIP Extensions.

  1. Agent SIP Extensions - Click to view existing SIP connections and add new SIP connection.

  1. New SIP Connection - On the Agent SIP Connections page, click New SIP Connection.

 

  1. Connection Name & SIP Address - Enter the SIP Connection Name and SIP Address.

Note: The connection name must be unique, and you cannot enter an existing or invalid SIP Address.

 

 

  1. Save - Click to save the new SIP connection.

Note: The Save option is only available to click with unique Connection Name and unique, valid SIP Address.

 

 

  1. SIP connection has been saved. Confirmation message that a new SIP was created.

 

 

 

  1. Agent SIP Extensions - Click to view existing SIP connections and add a new SIP connection.

 

  1. The new SIP connection is displayed.

 

 

Delete SIP Connection

  1. Delete - With list of available SIP connections displayed, locate the SIP connection you want to remove and click the trashcan icon.

 

  1. If you’re sure you want to delete the SIP connection, click Delete. To return to the SIP connections list, click Cancel.

Note: Once you click the Delete option, the SIP address is removed from the system and no longer available in the SIP connections list.
