If a company has any sort of firewall setup at their location they will need to whitelist a few URL's for CallPotential to work. This information can be given to their IT to add to their system firewall:


URLs USED BY CP:

*.callpotential.com (needed for anything CP to work)
*.newrelic.com (server monitoring software, site will experience script errors if this isn't whitelisted)

If they just use a default Windows firewall, you can set it up yourself by following these steps:

  1. Remote into their computer

    1. Send User GoToAssist support key if they have the app downloaded, if the do not have the app send them the GoToAssist support Link. if this works proceed to step 2, if not proceed to step 1.b.
    2. Have the user open CallPotential support or Teamviewer and send the 9 digit ID number
    3. If they do not have it, use this link: http://download.callpotential.com/support.exe 
  2. Access the Firewall Settings

    1. Open the Control Panel
      1. Type in "Firewall" to the search
      2. Click "Windows Firewall"
      3. Click Advanced Settings on the left side
  3. Create exceptions in the Firewall for the appropriate ports

    1. Click Inbound Rules
      1. Click "New Rule.." on the right side
      2. Select Port and click Next
      3. Check TCP and Specific local ports: "9001,9002". Click Next
      4. Check Allow the connection, click Next
      5. Click Next again
      6. Enter in the name: "CP TCP". Click Finish
      7. Click "New Rule.." again
      8. Select Port and click Next
      9. Check UDP and Specific local ports: "9001,9002". Click Next
      10. Check Allow the connection, click Next
      11. Click Next again
      12. Enter in the name: "CP UDP". Click Finish
    2. Click Outbound Rules
      1. Click "New Rule.." on the right side
      2. Select Port and click Next
      3. Check TCP and Specific local ports: "9001,9002". Click Next
      4. Check Allow the connection, click Next
      5. Click Next again
      6. Enter in the name: "CP TCP". Click Finish
      7. Click "New Rule.." again
      8. Select Port and click Next
      9. Check UDP and Specific local ports: "9001,9002". Click Next
      10. Check Allow the connection, click Next
      11. Click Next again
      12. Enter in the name: "CP UDP". Click Finish
