1. Login to the WebAPP
First, in order to create your new custom variable, you will need to log in to the WebAPP.
2. Custom Variables
You will be able to use your custom variables anywhere in the software; Whether that be in email/SMS templates, lead script cards, or customer cards.
3. Custom Variable Editor
After clicking on the Custom Variables link, a pop up window will come up where you will be able to add or remove custom variables. You will need to be sure that you follow the custom variable format in order for them to be valid. That format is:
{custom.VARIABLEname} <--- simply replace VARIABLEname with whatever you want to name your variable
From here, you will then want to put a value for your variable. This is what will be displayed when the variable is used in other areas of the software.
4. Save
After you have created your new variable, just scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click the "Save" button, and your new variable has been successfully created!
